Porcelain tiles - Vitrified:
Porcelain stoneware is the highest form of technological advancement in the ceramic tile industry. The mixtures includes -
- Quartz, necessary for body structure
- Feldspar for complete vitrification
- The purest kaolin and clays to provide elasticity.
The production cycle begins with wet grinding; the result mix is then spray-dried and stocked in giant silos ready for pressing. Powerful hydraulic presses reduce the mix to extremely uniform and compact tiles, guaranteeing maximum hardness and precision in calibration and flatness. During the firing phase, in the kilns, tiles are gradually brought to temperatures reaching over 1200-1300 degrees centigrade, where they reach full vitrification and are transformed into one solid, compact, highly resistant body.

Polished Porcelain
The porcelain tile after being fired is polished by a machine, to give it a mirror like finish.

Glazed Porcelain
With the latest technology porcelain stoneware is now available glazed.
A glaze is put on the product before firing, making this product one of the strongest on the market.
